Jackie Rowberry has worked with animals nearly all her life, training animals for the film industry, TV series, shows, live events, adverts and even music videos. Her passion and love for animals has been with her ever since she can remember, looking after them & cuddling them whenever she could. Our reindeer are called, Belle, Jingle, Crystal, Cracker and Frostie. In addition to reindeer, we offer a variety of other choices.

Her animals at Reindeer for Hire include Reindeer who will visit you with Santa and an elf to your home, or as a static display at a shopping centre for publicity & promotions, corporate events, advertising campaigns, schools, libraries, churches, birthday parties and Christmas parties.

“Once we experience this bond there is no turning back from loving animals and working with them,” says Jackie. “I have always had a loving relation towards nature and a specially fondness for animals. Although animals have always been a part of my life, it wasn’t until I started working and training with animals over twenty years ago, that I decided that this was for me!”

Soon Jackie Rowberry went to work for a major animal supplier to the entertainment industry. Once there, she found herself on some of the most famous sets of the time. At just 15, a delighted Jackie was meeting famous people that she had only ever seen on television, added to that she was doing the thing she loved most, working with animals, what's more, there are no lines to learn and she just had to be herself. Young Jackie found herself travelling around the country doing a job that you could only ever dream of and being paid for it, it was heaven!

“My animals are fabulous, each with its own personality,” says Jackie Rowberry, whose baby Wallaby named Rooney, already a unique character, is starting to enjoy the fun at the "Party in the Shed" He is the talk of the town,” she adds!

They say: "never work with children or animals" but Jackie loves it, the happier the children and her animals are the better she feels! She has an incredible affinity with animals and a rare ability to make them do what she wants.

"Come to think of it, working with animals has provided many memorable experiences, the reindeer," says Jackie, "are not only majestic, but serene, dignified and beautiful, everyone absolutely adores them." Jackie and her staff at Reindeer for Hire have many types of programs suitable for children of all ages including grown ups too and any of her programs can be combined to meet individual needs. Children of all ages love it when Rooney pops in on their party. They adore cuddly, furry animals that make their home here at Reindeer for Hire. We have plenty of lovable animals to pet and feed, including reindeer (in the winter months only) baby goats, lambs, miniature ponies, donkeys, pigs, bunnies & rabbits, guinea pigs, hamsters, gerbils, kittens and much more besides!

Our home is based in the heart of the beautiful Berkshire countryside a beautiful cottage part of which dates back to the 18th Century, we are surrounded by paddocks and woodland with a full size riding arena, we have a traditional stable yard and animal housing, including a row of keeper kennels, ducks on a pond plus a large selection of animals on site, all within 1 hour’s drive from London. We can provide the perfect location for Photo Shoots, Television, Film work and Commercials.

People of all ages love animals, and our furry and feathered friends love to meet and perform for people. All of the animals live with Jackie at the famous Animal Dramatics premises including the reindeer, and she has dedicated her life to insure that they are healthy, happy, and well loved!

Apart from all her animals, not forgetting the reindeer who accompany Santa at Christmas time, for the last 6 years Jackie has been organizing children's birthday & Christmas parties in the popular "Party in the Shed" for under 10 years olds. On special occasions, one or two of the gentle animals joins the party too; especially baby Rooney the Wallaby who enjoys every moment! He pretends to be a bit shy at times, but he really likes to show off in front of all the children. Because he is still a baby he remains in the bag that hangs on the door most of the time, jumping out occasionally to tease the cats. All the children absolutely adore him and want to take him home with them.

"Hi I'm Wiggs the Bulldog, I'm good-looking, crafty & so cool (don't make me laugh) do ya think I could make it as a STAR? Do you like my Hair Style? I like it here with the reindeer, ponies, horses, goats, goslings, kittens, guineapigs and all the other lovely animals. I also sing at Christmas time with Santa and the naughty elf, he's the funiest one I have ever met."

My favourite is Rooney the Wallaby, simply because he plays football with me. When Rooney gets bigger I just want to play football with him, we practice for 10 minutes a day, shush.... no one knows! We are not allowed to play ball in the yard so when someone comes he somethimes hides the football under my wig. We both want to be famous like the real footballer, Wayne Rooney! Maybe we'll get to meet him, who knows he may even come here for a day on a photo shoot with David Beckham my other footballing hero, or even Lampard, Gerrard or of course Michael Owen! Maybe they will want a "Party in the Shed" for their children, if they do, guess who'll be sneeking in....ME!
